Mingzhang Sun is an artist whose central concerns are time, space and being inspired by his memories and experiences of his surroundings.

Threading together hints of physical experiences he uses raw emotions as the energy behind his creations. He explores the common elements of different storylines and then visualises his thinking into paintings, drawings, wearable art, print, and performances. 

Aiming to fill the gap between languages, Mingzhang has been developing his art practice by studying fine art, fashion design, and performance art. Manipulating fabrics and canvas and combining them with paintings allows Mingzhang to create soft sculptural works that explore human awareness of the relationship between time and being. Blurring the barriers between different art mediums is currently Mingzhang's favourite passion.
